The Hovding helmet

Folks, occasionally a news bit comes along that's not necessarily related to motor vehicles or motor racing, but is so groundbreaking that it merits being mentioned on Fultrot.

The "invisible bicycle helmet" is such a case. Of course, it comes from the Swedes and is truly remarkable. Since the conventional bike helmet takes so much fun and freedom out of riding a bike, a pair of girls came up with the idea and turned it into reality in just a couple of years. Take a look at the short video below:



Got to love it. What a great example of the power of thinking outside of the box. Too bad that the nearer you get to the equator, the less handy it becomes. But I am sure they will find away to improve it in this sense as well.
