Kimi returns

A while back we heard about Kimi Raikkonen's intention to return to F1. I for one was glad when he signed with the Lotus Renault team. As I read the headline, I thought

"Formula One's bad boy is back"!

In 2001 Kimi started his F1 carreer with Sauber-Petronas but swiftly switched to McLaren Mercedes just a year later. In 2007, his first year with Ferrari, he won the championship. In 2009 he left the F1 circus for the WRC, where for two years he had his own rally team. For 2012 he will return to F1 and drive for Lotus Renault.

In early 2007, Kimi entered and won a snowmobile race in his native Finland under the name James Hunt. He has openly admired the lifestyles of the 1970s race car drivers such as Hunt.

James Hunt was notorious for his unconventional behavior on and off the track. He became the epitome of unruly, playboy drivers, regularly seen attending nightclubs and discos with a succession of beautiful women. And never one to hold back his thoughts.
Hunt's F1 achievements: 1976 F1 championship; 10 wins, 23 podium finishes; 14 pole positions and 93 starts.

I hope Kimi will stay true to his heart and be his old self. We are all tired of the polished and political-correct drivers that just want to be loved and admired.
