For the 2012 doorslammer's season there aren't that many changes to either NHRA or ADRL. Jeg is back in a Mopar and some teams will swap their old Pontiac GXP's for Chevy Camaro's.
One of the first's to do so is two-time Pro Stock world champion (IHRA & ADRL), John Montecalvo. "The Camaro is iconic and I'm excited to see it back at the track in Extreme Pro Stock [ADRL] competition," told Montecalvo. "There's been a lot of talk surrounding the Camaro body, so 2012 should be another exciting year for XPS."
As for those running in NHRA, the KB Racing boys will be the first ones to sport this new body. "We're very thrilled with the opportunity to race muscle cars again in Pro Stock," said Anderson. "It goes back to what they ran when Pro Stock first started."
Back in January NHRA's Tech Department approved a body design for the 2012 Camaro SS which were developed and will be constructed by Five Star Race Car Bodies.
On a side note, there is talk that the new Camaro body did not do as good in the wind tunnel as was expected.
