The C-1 bike.

Lit Motors founder and C-1 creator Daniel Kim, 32, believes his creation is a viable option for motorists in the near future. He saw the need to shed the weight from four-wheeled vehicles and decided to rethink the motorcycle. His answer, the C-1, which some will call a 2-wheel car, and others an untippable motorcycle. In any case, the concept is quite revolutionary for a 2-wheeler, in that, it will use two gyroscopes to keep the C-1 balanced at all times, even in turns.

The C-1 is about two years from production and will cost some $24.000. Kim is hoping to have it achieve a top speed of 120 mph and 220 miles per charge using a 8-kilowatt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery pack.

Below there's a video on the C-1 concept by Lit Motors.

"People work. People commute. And everyone should be able to drive a motorcycle safely and not have to worry about the constraints of a car and do it on a sustainable platform," Kim said. "That should be the paradigm for products today."
