Jet fighter pilots and race car drivers have more in common than you might think. Both strap into their machines trusting that the mechanics did their jobs and that every piece of equipment will do his so that they may perform the task at hand and safely return to their loved ones.I guess that if asked a great deal of drivers would admit that they would have liked to become jet fighter pilots.. had they been better students in school.
Personally I believe there exists a strong relationship between the two, for each time I see a picture of Jose "Fuji" Ramos I find myself wishing I was up there. Jose is notorious for taking fantastic shots, often times from the backseat of a Navy aggressor jet. He has a keen eye for beauty as you can see from these pictures, often pulling many Gs while waiting for just the right moment.

Of course, the main difference between the two is that while we put our lives on the line for the entertainment of others, these fine men and women put their's for our liberty, freedom.... and the pursuit of speed. We salute all of those who serve their nations around the world.
Thanks for reading.
