For those lucky motorsports enthusiasts that are attending this year's "The Quail - A Motorsports Gathering", we are all extremely jealous. For ten days each August, connoisseurs and enthusiasts from around the world converge on the Monterey Peninsula to celebrate the ultimate in automotive design, engineering and camaraderie among fellow aficionados.FRIDAY, August 15th:
The Quail, the main event starts today and runs from 10:00 to 16:00 hrs at the Quail Lodge and Golf Club, Carmel, California. It will feature the following:

RM Auction at the Portola Hotel & Spa, Monterey, runs through Saturday.
Mecum Muscle car and More, at the Hyatt Regency Resort, runs through Saturday.
Legends of the Autobahn, at Nicklaus Club Pasadena Dr, Monterey.
20th Annual Pacific Grove Concours Auto Rally
Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, at Mazda Racewar (aka Laguna Seca), runs through Sunday.

This unique 10 day series of events ends.
The three-day "Quail Rally" was held earlier this week and offered the opportunity to discover the back roads and spectacular vistas of Monterey County and its Pacific Ocean Coastline, while raising funds for local and national charitable causes. The rally is comprised of 30 vintage automobiles from different car collectors.
