ADRL was in Bristol, Tennessee (aka Thunder valley), yesterday for their qualifying rounds for the Spring Drags III. Frankie Brandao's King Kong V ran a 3.909 and was at a point in second place.
Lizzy Musi, the daughter King Kong's driver Pat Musi, ran into trouble on her qualifying pass in the Top Sportsman class. The '68 Camaro got loose at the tail end of the run, turned sideways and the front end of the car hit the left wall. As air got underneath the car it turned it around, causing it to topple over the left wall and into the grass. Lizzy was uninjured.
This is what happens when you stay on the pedal just a tad too long. We hope to see her real soon back behind of the wheel.
Pat Musi is a doorslammer drag racing legend who has been racing Frankie Brandao's cars in Curacao for many years.
